The Seattle Mariners dropped the final game and subsequently the three games series to the Philadelphia Phillies in a day game at Citizens Bank Ballpark earlier today by a 4-3 score.
Rookie pitching sensation James Paxton suffered his first career defeat in 10 MLB starts. The lefty lasted just four innings.

The M's fell to 68-58 overall in the 2014 campaign and a half-game back of Detroit in the A.L. Wild Card race for the second spot.  The Tigers take on Tampa Bay tonight.  Seattle has won 13 out of their last 19 and are 3-3 on their current road trip, which resumes Friday in Boston after a travel day with 'King' Felix Hernandez toeing the rubber for Seattle.
