ESPN's David Schoenfield recently tabbed Seattle Mariners ace Felix Hernandez and Japanese sensation Hisashi Iwakuma as the top pitching duo in the big leagues.

And rightfully so.

While the M's have scuffled so far this year collectively, the 1-2 punch at the top of their rotation is hardly the reason why.

Since joining the Mariners starting rotation last July, Iwakuma, along with the former Cy Young award winner Hernandez, have led the A.L. in ERA.

Here are the top five:
Iwakuma: 2.54
Hernandez: 2.69
Justin Verlander: 2.77
James Shields: 2.86
Hiroki Kuroda: 2.97
