The Seattle Mariners have wrapped up a nine-game road trip with a 2-0 loss to Oakland. The A's win snapped the Mariners five game winning streak. Seattle finished the road trip with a 7-2 record.

In the first game the M's beat the Oakland A's 6-4 in ten innings.  Felix Hernandez was not sharp today but came away with a no decision.  He gave up 4 runs on 11 hits and he did not strike out a batter before he was pulled in the seventh. Mike Zenino and Corey Hart each hit solo home runs, and Justin Smoak hit a two-out single in the top of the tenth to knock in the winning run. Smoak has 17 two-out RBI's, which leads the Major Leagues.

In the second game fill-in starter Drew Pomeranz pitched five scoreless innings for his second win in his past 20 starts and the Oakland Athletics beat the Mariners 2-0.

Pomeranz (2-1) was sharp in his first major league start since last July, allowing two hits and no walks in five innings with five strikeouts.

Erasmo Rameriz was sharp for the Mariners as he took the loss giving up only two runs in six innings of work.
