Seattle Mariners first baseman Danny Valencia did something today that only one other Mariners' player has done in the team's 40+ year history - and, no, it wasn't Ken Griffey, Jr.

With a fourth inning infield single off of former Mariner Erasmo Ramirez, Valencia collected his ninth-consecutive base hit in as many at-bats, tying the team mark set by Raul Ibanez in 2004.

The Major League record is 12 straight but has not been accomplished since 1952.
