SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) — An awful lot of major league baseball players are sorry that Mariano Rivera grew out of his childhood disdain of pitching. Rivera says he didn't like to pitch as a little leaguer — because that meant he couldn't play every day. Of course, he went on to nail down the most saves in major league history as the closer for the New York Yankees. Last night, Rivera was in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania where he was inducted into the Little League Hall of Excellence.
