A tragic death resulted in a wonderful show of support.

Ten-year-old Lane Rodgers died last weekend when a tree fell on him while he played in a Little League tournament in Tupelo, Miss.

His service was held on Tuesday and hundreds of fellow Little Leaguers some of whom didn't even play against him, lined the streets in the town of Byhalia as the hearse carried his body after the funeral.

The other players, many of whom didn't even know Lane, all wore their uniforms and came from all over the state, with some even making the trip from Tennessee to pay their respects.

As the hearse drove by, each player removed his hat and placed his hand on his heart to show his respect to Lane, who was buried in his uniform.
