LeBron James loves the kids. The Cleveland Cavaliers player, who recently inked a new $100 million contract, decided to pay it forward by treating local kids to a fun day at the amusement park.

According to Ohio.com, the NBA star brought 5,000 kids and their families to Cedar Point, a theme park in Sandusky, Ohio, that feature roller coasters and carnival games.

King James does this for the children every year as part of his "Wheels for Education" and the Akron I Promise Network, which encourages youngsters to focus on the education and obtain a free college education after high school.

"It’s an honor to work with a wonderful, dedicated group of people who provide so much to Northeast Ohio – and we’re happy to provide a 'Best Day' experience for their program families here at the park," said a Cedar Park rep (via TMZ).

Chase Bank also provided a financial assists with helping to pay some of the cost for day-long outing. Later that night, the kids were treated to a performance by Aloe Blacc and a pep talk by LeBron James, himself.

“This [reunion] is always the greatest night for myself,” he said of the event. “Another great night was at Golden State. Yeah, that was a great night. But this trumps it all.”

“I love you guys always,” he said high-fiving kids as he left the stage.
