It is the start of High School March Madness, and Yakima Valley teams will be in the thick of the WIAA Hardwood Classic, which opens Thursday in the Tacoma Dome.

1B Girls -- Sunnyside Christian vs. Crosspoint Academy -- Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
2B Girls -- White Swan vs. Colfax -- Thursday at 3:45 p.m.;  Mabton vs. Wahkiakum -- Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
1A Boys -- Naches Valley vs. Lynden Christian -- Thursday at 3:45 p.m.; Zillah vs. Castle Rock -- Thursday at 5:30 p.m.; LaSalle vs. King's -- Thursday at 9 p.m.
1A Girls -- Granger vs. King's -- Thursday at 10:30 a.m.; Zillah vs. Cascade Christian -- Thursday at 12:15 p.m.
2A Girls -- Ellensburg vs. River Ridge -- Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
