Washington has reinstated quarterback Cyler Miles, who had been suspended while police investigated whether he was involved in a Super Bowl night fight.

Huskies coach Chris Petersen says suspended receiver Demore'ea Stringfellow, who was charged with two counts of fourth-degree assault and one count of malicious mischief after two incidents on Feb. 2 following the Seahawks' Super Bowl victory, will transfer.

Miles was not charged.

He started one game last season as Keith Price's backup, and figured to start this year as a sophomore but missed all of spring practice.

Stringfellow was also expected to start after coming on late in his freshman season. He had eight catches for 147 yards and a touchdown at UCLA.

Washington also announced tailback Ryan McDaniel has retired because of a knee injury.
