The Washington Huskies, behind no-hit pitching from ace Joe DeMers early on, used solo home runs from Nick Kahle and Willie MacIver before having to rally in comeback fashion over Cal Sate-Fullerton to advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska for the first time in school history.

DeMers took a perfect game bid in to the 7th inning before the Titans finally collected a base hit and scratched across their first run. DeMers threw the first perfect game in school history back in February.

The Titans rallied in the top of the 9th to even the score at 3-3 and eventually take the lead 4-3 heading to the bottom of the from despite playing on their home diamond.

UW got a double and RBI single in the bottom of the inning to tie it at the time of this writing.
