Gibson, Bliznyuk Lead E. Washington Past Great Falls, 103-76
CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Ty Gibson had a career-high 19 points, Bogdan Bliznyuk added 18 points and Eastern Washington cruised to a 103-76 win over Great Falls on Thursday night.
Felix Von Hofe hit three 3s and scored 13 points while Jacob Wiley had 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds.
Eastern Washington (7-2) scored 27 of the first 29 points, including a 3-pointer by Gibson that made it 27-2 midway through the first half. Bliznyuk made a jumper and then 1 of 2 free throws put EWU up 29 going into the break. Sir Washington's layup to open the second half made it 53-22 and the Eagles led by at least 30 until Franklin Gump III hit a 3-pointer that capped the scoring with 32 seconds to go.
Davone Oliver Jr. had 15 points, while Jared Schultz and Tymarieh Dixon added 14 apiece for Great Falls.
