Klamath Falls' pitching and hot bats stopped the Pippins, 6-2, before a crowd of 943 Sunday night at Yakima County Stadium.The Gems got things going early in the game with a Deam Morton RBI single that brought in Carson Breshear for a 1-0 K-Falls lead. The Gems took avantage of Andrew Woods, who was struggling on the mound, and added another run on a John Williams ground-out RBI.

Mitch Yada took over for Woods, and walked in a run as the Gems went up 3-0. But the Pippins got on the board when Vince Fernandez scored on a Troy LaBrie single.

The Pippins scored again on an RBI triple by Fernandez to pull within 3-2.

Klamath Falls then scored again on an error and a two-run double to complete the scoring in the game, winning it 6-2. The win improved the Gems' record to 4-11 overall.

The Pippins (9-8 overall, 6-6 West Coast League) are off Monday, but take on Kelowna at home Tuesday evening. You can hear the game on 1460 ESPN at 6:25.
