Having lost eight out of their last 10 games, the Seattle Mariners slide continued in Arlington, Texas today as the Rangers clubbed the M's behind a five-run fifth inning off of Felix Hernandez en route to an 14-1 win and a three-game series sweep.

Even "The King" looked like a jester against the hot-hitting AL West leaders, going just four innings while surrendering six earned runs on four hits and four bases on balls. The biggest blow came off of the bat of Elvis Andrus who clubbed a grand slam home run for his seventh dinger of the season.

Third Baseman Kyle Seager kept the M's from the whitewash with an eighth-inning solo homer, his 25th bomb of the campaign.

Seattle returns home after an off day to open a six-game homestand against the Los Angeles Angels and the same Texas Rangers.
