If you have spent any length of time in the Yakima Valley, you almost certainly have run across the dulcet tones and smooth musical stylings of Wayman Chapman.

Wayman can pull off jazz, blues, R&B and good 'ol rock 'n' roll, depending on the crowd he's in front of -- which is why he is has been such a popular mainstay on the Yakima music scene for many, many years.

As with most musicians, the pitfalls of self-employment can sometimes be a burden and, unfortunately, Wayman has hit one of these tough times. Recently, Mr. Chapman was air-lifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. For those who have ever had a medical emergency and no health insurance, you can understand the daunting specter of mounting bills in the face of life-and-death situations.

On May 1, a Go Fund Me account was set up to help Wayman defray his expenses.

From the page admin:
"I know Wayman will be grateful for our prayers for his recovery. We are asking those who would like to help in other ways to donate to his medical expenses.
You can give whatever amount you are able, and I know every gift, small or large will bless him.
We are extremely thankful for all the love and support that everyone has shown and continues to show in this difficult time. Please keep him in your prayers.
Thank you"
