The Sozo Sports Complex (located at 2200 S. 36th Ave.) in conjunction with the Yakima Sports Commission has announced a three-race series of 5K runs which will kick-off with the "Yakima Super 5K" on Saturday, May 8th and followed by the "Bubbles and Brews 5K" and the "Mud, Sweat and Beers 5K" fun runs.
The "Super 5K" is being described as a "family-friendly 5K [that] encourages participants to dress up as their favorite superhero or villain! Signage along the race course will feature such famous superheroes as Wonder Woman, Superman and the Flash. The post-race party will feature music, awards and food and beverages."

All participants, whether participating in cosplay or not, will receive as part of their entry fee a "Super 5K" T-shirt (adult participants only) a custom "Super 5K" medal and a "Super 5K" race bib along with a free beverage ticket.

Gates for the event will open at 11:30 a.m. the day of the race. Participants are encouraged to arrive to the Sozo Sports Complex to check-in no later than 12:30 p.m with the starter's pistol firing to commence the run at 1:00 p.m.
