DAVIE, Fla. (AP) — Miami Dolphins defensive end Dion Jordan is now missing practice for two reasons.

Jordan is expected to be sidelined at least a couple of weeks while recovering from minor knee surgery. He has been placed on the active non-football injury list.

Jordan had not yet been cleared by the NFL to practice after receiving conditional reinstatement Friday following a 15-month suspension for his latest violation of the league's substance abuse policy. He has been taking part in team meetings.

The former 3rd overall draft pick from Oregon watched Sunday's practice from the sideline.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins activated running back Arian Foster from the physically unable to perform list. The former Pro Bowler signed this month and is returning from Achilles tendon surgery.

Miami signed cornerback Brandon Harris and waived former Dallas Cowboys corner Tyler Patmon.
