During Tuesday night's ROOT Sports telecast of the Mariners' 2-0 loss to the Minnesota Twins, Seattle Hall of Fame outfielder Jay Buhner was caught uttering a phrase that some are deeming a racial slur.

In the fifth inning, Twins outfielder Sam Fuld hit a solo home run that barely cleared the wall in right field as well as the outstretched glove of M's defender Michael Saunders. The night before, the roles were reversed when Saunders just squeaked a dinger by the glove of Fuld for a home run. During the TV replay, guest color analyst Buhner can be heard describing the near-miss getting "tricker-jewed."

Former Seattle beat writer Geoff Baker has been following the controversy and had this update on his Facebook page this morning:

Fuld is of Jewish descent and the Mariners organization is seemingly distancing itself from any controversy and is claiming that Buhner said "trickered you" as opposed to the more racially charged version being claimed by viewers.

A Vine user by the name Andrew Phares posted the video on his account.  Listen for yourself and let us know in the comments below if you think Buhner did indeed utter the words "tricker-jewed" or something else.
