Departing Bears May Take More Than Bats & Balls

The Yakima Bears are leaving at the end of the season…just our luck they finished the first half the season in first place so they could go out as champions this fall. Go Bears! So its no surprise that after decades of Summer entertainment we’ll hate to see them go. 

But you have to wonder if they may take our city’s “happily married” rate with them when they go!  No Kidding. According to a study from the University of Denver, couples who live in cities with pro baseball teams are up to 28% less likely to divorce than those who don’t.  

Why is that? I have No idea.  Go Bears! Stay Married!.
