(AP) — Washington's Capitals are looking to reach the 90 point mark in the season tonight. They enter their game with the Rangers in New York in first place in the Metropolitan Division with 89 points, seven more than the fourth place New Yorkers.

Pittsburgh is second in the Metropolitan with 84 points and tonight the Penguins are in Dallas. The third place team in the division is Columbus with 83 points and the Blue Jackets are in Montreal against the Atlantic Division leading Canadiens.

While Washington leads the Eastern Conference the Minnesota Wild continue to top the West. The Central Division leading Wild are on the road tonight for a game with Winnipeg while second-place Chicago has the night off.

The rest of the card this evening has Arizona playing in Boston, the Flyers home to Colorado, the Predators at Buffalo, Florida entertaining Carolina, the Oilers in St. Louis, the Kings in Calgary, Vancouver's Canucks home to Detroit and Toronto at San Jose.
