Jesus Montero hit his first home-run of the year and Robinson Cano hit his fourth home-run to lead the Seattle Mariners to their 3rd straight win, 6-1 over the San Deigo Padres. Montero, making his first start ever at first base in the major leagues hit a two run shot in the second inning and Cano belted a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Kyle Seager added a two-run double in the seventh inning to lead the Mariners offense.

Rookie Roenis Elias gave up only three hits, one-run in seven innings to pick up his sixth win of the year against five losses.

The Mariners improved their record to 37-34, they travel to San Diego to take on the Padres tomorrow.  Felix Hernandez will pitch for the Mariners tomorrow.
