SAN DIEGO (AP) — BYU and Wyoming renew a rivalry that dates back to 1922 when they meet in the Poinsettia Bowl tonight.

It will be the first meeting between the schools since 2010, before BYU left the Mountain West Conference to go independent.

Tanner Mangum will start at quarterback for BYU after Taysom Hill strained his left elbow Nov. 26 in the season finale against Utah State. Mangum played in four games this year, completing 14 of 18 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns.

The 8-5 Cowboys feature career rushing leader Brian Hill, who broke the single-season school record with 1,767 yards and 21 touchdowns.
