"Fast Eddie" Gordon, a senior bat boy for an Idaho high school baseball team, recently did something most major league ballplayers never achieve. In doing so, he did something that many of us hope to achieve in life.

Eddie was born with Down Syndrome.  He has also been a baseball fan his whole life.  So much so, he served as the bat boy for Timberline high school.  As it was "Senior Night," the head coach and team reached out to their opponent to make something very magical happen for the young man that had been to every practice and who had worked just as hard as the rest of the players - to the point of inspiring many of his teammates.

Below is the video of Eddie hitting an inside-the-park home run - one of baseball's rarer feats - and then subsequently being carried off the field after the home team emerged victorious.
