Tonight the 84th Major League Baseball All-Star game will be held in Queens, New York at Citi Field, home of the National League's New York Mets.  The game is set for a 5:00 P.M. (Pacific) first pitch.

Starting pitchers for the visiting American League will be Detroit's Max Scherzer and for the Senior Circuit, hometown hero Matt Harvey gets the nod.
Two Seattle Mariners were named to the A.L. squad, both of them starting pitchers.  Hisashi Iwakuma, making his first ever all-star appearance is not expected to play as he pitched on Sunday when the M's defeated the Angels.  Seattle ace "King" Felix Hernandez will likely see some time on the bump as he participates in his fourth mid-summer classic.

Also of note, one former Yakima Bear, Carlos Gonzalez, will be in the starting nine for the N.L.

To tide you over, here is the last all-star game to be held in Seattle.  The 2001 game is considered one of the most memorable as Cal Ripken, Jr. hit a home run and won the MVP award in his final all-star appearance.
