UAB shut down its football program earlier this month, but a 5-year-old fan is doing his part to revive it.

Meet Bennett, a  self-proclaimed Ohio State fan who lives in the Buckeye State, sent $1 to UAB in hopes it could help save the football program.

In case you're having trouble reading the letter, it says:

Dear UAB,

My name is Bennett. I love Ohio State, but[t] think you should have football too. Here is one dollar to help! - Bennett

As you probably know, Bennett's 100 pennies aren't nearly enough to help the Blazers reinstate football, but the school certainly appreciated his efforts and rewarded him with a boatload of gear. So, essentially he paid a buck to get a lot of swag. Good luck getting that kind of deal while doing your Christmas shopping at Sports Authority.
